The Challange
This commission involved specifying a bespoke motorised blind solution for an large skylight within the lounge of a new-build property. Due to the size and position of the skylight, managing solar glare was a key requirement to prevent reflections on the television while maintaining comfortable natural daylight throughout the space.
As the blind system needed to be incorporated into the construction of the property, close coordination with both the client and the builders was essential from the early stages of the build. Careful planning, regular site visits, and precise measurements at key construction milestones were required to ensure the finished installation would integrate seamlessly with the skylight's structural design.

By working closely with the client and building contractor throughout the construction process, we developed a fully bespoke motorised blind solution tailored to the skylight's dimensions and installation requirements. Early involvement allowed us to coordinate fixing details, monitor build progress, and carry out accurate site surveys to guarantee a precise fit.
The completed motorised installation provides effortless operation and outstanding glare control, effectively reducing reflections on the television while preserving a bright and comfortable living environment.
